Portraits and scenes of artists at work at various Northern California disabled service centers, including Short Center North, Sacramento (PIC box 1, B boxes 1-3); Neighborhood Center for the Arts, Grass Valley (PIC box 1, B boxes 4-5); Easter Seals Superior California Adult Day Service Center, Sacramento (PIC box 1, B box 6) and NIAD Art Center, Richmond (B box 6). Also includes a small number of contact sheets and papers pertaining to the centers (PIC box 1), and a few color photographs of butterflies (PIC box 1).

Gary Brown: professional photographer based in Yuba City, California. Much of his work, including photographs and records pertaining to his documentation of art programs for the disabled, was lost to severe regional flooding in spring of 2016. The material in the present collection was salvaged, without damage, from that disaster.
